About Me

I am a psychotherapist in private practice in Mamaroneck, NY specializing in working with individuals, couples and families. I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and a supervisor at The Trauma Studies Center of the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy in Manhattan. My post-graduate training includes certification from two highly respected programs -- The Family Institute of Westchester and The Integrative Trauma Program at The Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy.  I am also a certifed Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and have trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and IFS (Internal Family Systems).

These varied modalities and state of the art treatments allow me to work more creatively with individual clients, couples and families to help them get unstuck and break self-defeating patterns.  My areas of expertise include parent/teen struggles, couple crises, in-law triangles, twenty-somethings stuck in adolescence, toxic intergenerational patterns, anxiety disorders, depression and emotional and physical trauma.  Through every treatment process I focus on helping clients strengthen their voice and develop healthy boundaries with others.

In addition to being in private practice and teaching at the post-graduate level, I have also been invited to present at workshops and conferences in the tri-state area on topics ranging from anxiety in the family, to how mothers and daughters can learn to "get" each other and parenting in the age of affluenza.

My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques in a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they would like to achieve.
